Description Anthony Messina 2010-09-03 06:35:20 UTC
After the upgrade to asterisk-ldap-fds-1.6.2.12-0.1.rc1, I noticed the 99asterisk.ldif file had some seemingly minor syntactic changes.

In attempting to load them into my 389 DS (389-ds-base-1.2.6-0.11.rc7.fc13), I received the following errors (only a few shown):

[03/Sep/2010:01:00:27 -0500] dse - The entry cn=schema in file /etc/dirsrv/slapd-ds/schema/99asterisk.ldif is invalid, error code 21 (Invalid syntax) - Missing name (OID is "")
[03/Sep/2010:01:00:27 -0500] - str2entry_dupcheck: entry has no dn
[03/Sep/2010:01:00:27 -0500] dse - parsing dse entry [ NAME 'AstContext' DESC 'Asterisk Context' EQUALITY caseIgnoreMatch SUBSTR caseIgnoreSubstringsMatch SYNTAX 1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.15 )]
[03/Sep/2010:01:00:27 -0500] - str2entry_dupcheck: entry has no dn
[03/Sep/2010:01:00:27 -0500] dse - parsing dse entry [ NAME 'AstExtension' DESC 'Asterisk Extension' EQUALITY caseIgnoreMatch SUBSTR caseIgnoreSubstringsMatch SYNTAX 1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.15 )]

The errors continued for each iterated attribute or objectclass.

Apparently, there cannot be an empty line after:

attributeTypes: (

OR

objectClasses: (

Removing the empty lines allowed the server to restart and properly import 99asterisk.ldif

Comment 1 Bug Zapper 2011-05-31 14:36:45 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 13 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 13. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '13'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 13's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 13 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this
bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version,
please add a comment here and someone will do it for you.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping

Comment 2 Anthony Messina 2011-06-04 05:40:44 UTC
This continues to be an issue in Fedora 15.

Comment 3 Jeffrey C. Ollie 2011-06-04 05:49:57 UTC
Can you attach a corrected copy of the file to the bug?

Comment 4 Anthony Messina 2011-06-04 07:55:02 UTC

Comment 6 Jeffrey C. Ollie 2011-07-01 20:58:08 UTC
Hmm, did I forget to update the package? I'll try and remember to get this in the next round.

Still contains an empty line after the attributeTypes declaration. 389 doesnt line empty lines within declarations, I've come to find out.
