I'd like to see po4a updated, too. The newer upstream release fixed quite a few bugs. Does it build? Last time I checked, it didn't build, but bombed out with errors. Working on it. > (In reply to comment #2) > > Does it build? Last time I checked, it didn't build, but bombed out with > > errors. > OK, I found the key issue. Ralf, I am an upstream developer, feel free to ask if you have trouble building po4a.(In reply to comment #3) (In reply to comment #4) > Ralf, I am an upstream developer, feel free to ask if you have trouble building > po4a.(In reply to comment #3) Great. I had 2 major issues with po4a: * The file missing from the 0.40.1 tarball is t/compare-po.pl. Without it, the testsuite fails misserably. I grabbed it from your SVN and added it as a patch. I'd recommend you to release a new tarball with this file added. * I had 2 major issues related to the configuration: - We install the perl modules into perl's vendor directory. The common way to achieve this with Module::Build based Build.PL's is to run perl Build.PL --installdir vendor - bin/po/Makefile doesn't seem to receive the settings from "Build". It always wants to install into /usr/local instead of /usr. I hacked around both issues by editing the Makefiles (using sed): # Propagate %%{_prefix} sed -i -e 's,^prefix =.*$,prefix = %{_prefix},' po/bin/Makefile # vendor dirs sed -i -e 's,perl Build.PL,perl Build.PL --installdirs vendor,' Makefile I updated rawhide to 0.40.1. The corresponding packages should land in the rawhide repos soon. c.f. http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=2536888 |
