This needs to be: BuildRequires: qt-devel >= 1:4.0 (note the Epoch), or better: BuildRequires: qt4-devel >= 4.0 or just: BuildRequires: qt4-devel which is what we recommend. (The >= 4.0 is redundant. But are you sure this package will build all the way back to 4.0? I think you might need a higher minimum version.) (That said, the Provides: qt-devel in qt3-devel is going away as per bug 623106. But your BuildRequires is still wrong because it is missing the Epoch. qt has an Epoch, the virtual qt4 Provides don't, which is another reason to use them.) I've just looked in: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/updates/testing/14/x86_64/ and http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/updates/13/x86_64 In both locations qt-devel versioning is not prefaced with an epoch The Epoch is NOT reflected in file names! You have to use rpm -q --qf '%{epoch}\n' qt to see that it has Epoch 1. But it IS used for ALL version comparisons. In particular, 1:3.3.8 > 0:4.0, and just 4.0 (without Epoch) is the same as 0:4.0 for RPM. qjson-0.7.1-2.fc13 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 13. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/qjson-0.7.1-2.fc13 qjson-0.7.1-2.fc14 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 14. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/qjson-0.7.1-2.fc14 qjson-0.7.1-2.fc12 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 12. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/qjson-0.7.1-2.fc12 qjson-0.7.1-2.fc14 has been pushed to the Fedora 14 testing repository.
