Description Steve Milner 2010-09-07 22:44:58 UTC
The latest release of Spawning requires eventlet >= 0.9.12 (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/eventlet/0.9.12). The latest version there is in Fedora/EPEL is 0.9.9. As expected, building with the current eventlet package installed throws the following exception:

    pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: eventlet>=0.9.12

If possible, it would be helpful to get eventlet-0.9.12 as an update to F13 and possibly EPEL as well (assuming it meets criteria).

Just as fast as I submit this bug I'm told that the version is not really required for Spawning ....

http://github.com/rtyler/Spawning/issues/#issue/17

While Spawning itself may not need it it may still be a good idea to upgrade.

Comment 4 Lev Shamardin 2010-09-08 08:19:22 UTC
I've updated this package for f15, f14 and el6, and considering updates for f13 and el5 (builds for these branches are available in koji but not submitted as updates yet). Since it appears that no packages except Spawning depend on python-eventlet I consider this update to be ok. What do you think?

Comment 5 Steve Milner 2010-09-08 13:07:23 UTC
I agree. From what I understand the API has not changed between 0.9.7/9 and 0.9.12.
