Description of problem:
To better support Linux conventions, it would be nice to be able to store the agent logs under /var/log. I talked briefly with mazz about this, and it is not clear whether or not this is possible today without some code changes, particularly around the ant script(s) used in the agent auto-update functionality.

I don't think we have any plan for this given the latest EAP layering.
