There is a clash between what the web page claims and reality, from the perspective of Fedora 12 Beta

Comment 1 Matt Domsch 2010-10-01 04:18:05 UTC
That's quite odd, as xchat is clearly in the Fedora 14 repository...

$ rpm -qp --provides xchat-2.8.8-4.fc14.x86_64.rpm
xchat-perl = 1:2.8.8-4.fc14
xchat-python = 1:2.8.8-4.fc14
xchat = 1:2.8.8-4.fc14
xchat(x86-64) = 1:2.8.8-4.fc14

Nivag, please try:
sudo yum clean metadata
sudo yum install xchat

to see if that resolves the problem for you.

Thanks,
Matt

Hmm...

PEBKAC error, I had forgotten I had disabled the fedora.repo!

I'm rechecking with it enabled, but as my broadband is now running at about 7KBytes/second it will take over half an hour!

I wil update this accordingly later, but most likely this can be closed.

Moving to the correct component so fedora-websites doesn't get the emails.
