Alliance theme with gtk-murrine-engine-0.90.3-3

Description of problem:

In Fedora 13/14 is not latest version of gtk-murrine-engine. Newer versions of this engine are required by new and nice themes like Alliance-themes (http://sites.google.com/site/jovialubuntu/Home/Alliance-theme) (see attached PNGs)

Please could you update gtk-murrine-engine packages to latest upstream version. It would be nice to have new and nice ("desktop users like it") themes in Fedora too like in Ubuntu.

Thanks,
Jaroslav

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

current version in F13 is 0.90.3
latest in upstream: 0.98.1 (http://ftp.acc.umu.se/pub/GNOME/sources/murrine/0.98/)

Comment 2 Martin Sourada 2010-10-11 08:36:42 UTC
The latest package is in rawhide for a while now and I'm going now to build it for F14 which is to my understanding on the borderline of what is accepted at this stage of development. As far as I understand the updates policy [1], it's not acceptable to push such a major change to F13 as well.

Comment 5 Jaroslav Pulchart 2010-10-19 17:56:54 UTC
I upgraded to F14 now. Everything about new murrine engine is OK. I see some warnings in old Murrina themes only:

/usr/share/themes/MurrinaLoveGray/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:50: Murrine configuration option "scrollbar_color" is no longer supported and will be ignored.

$ rpm -qf /usr/share/themes/MurrinaLoveGray/gtk-2.0/gtkrc
gtk-murrine-engine-0.98.1.1-1.fc14.x86_64

Changelog of murrine engine:
- Deprecated option: scrollbar_color, please use a custom bg[SELECTED].

It looks like the Murrina themes included in murrine gtk engine are not updated by upstream (?)
