sanjay: all my attempts at verifying IOzone indicate that the package does not exist in RHEL6. or is it using a different package name? please verify.

for now i'm assuming iozone is not included (i.e. unsupported) in RHEL6.

Response - IOZone is not included in RHEL. It is a tool that has to downloaded from the website mentioned in my doc.

thanks Sanjay. i added an admonition that iozone was currently unavailable in RHEL6. please review.

also, please verify if the description of "iozone -a" is correct (and sufficient).

Don, I am not sure whether it is included in RHEL6. I have always installed it from the perf team kit without checking if it's included in the distro. 

The iozone -a description is correct and sufficient. If you prefer, you can add that  iozone -h (help) will provide a list of all the options that iozone supports.

thanks Sanjay. i'll see if i can actually verify if iozone is truly not included in RHEL6. in the meantime, i'll just assume that it isn't.
