screenshot
Screenshot of my firefox session going slightly bonkers despite clearing cache prior to install.
I suspect that this might be resolved if i clear my cache once again, but for a user to have to clear cache twice in order to install a new build borders on crazy talk.
Should read 1. Install an older nightly and navigate around it. I'd been looking at group inventory stuff... 2. Shutdown server. Unpack and start new server 3. Attempt to connect to <hostname>:7080 4. Note that firefox attempts to used cached data and connect to dashboard (issue #1) 5. Clear firefox cache and restart browser. Once more, navigate to <hostname>:7080 and begin install. 6. Complete install and login. 7. Note the firefox warnings that pop up in your browser. (issue #2) sigh. forget the whole auto-linked issue/bug stuff. read it plaintext. even clearing browser cache does not resolve this. Makes me think there is something bad going on with dbupgrade caching connections or something....? So, this occurs on a fresh install -- no upgrade related issues, apparently. Raising priority. example of one of these popups
Attached a sample of one of these popups. Note that just browsing around for about 3-4 minutes causes upwards of 100 of these to show up. It starts to choke the browser, eventually.
Closing this bug - it no longer seems to occur. |
