Dependency and conflict issues are automatically accepted as nice-to-have.

Praveen, I think this is consequence of your changes...

Why did you rename sblim-cmpi-base-test to sblim-cmpi-base-testsuite? I see that it's basically the same content with same purpose or am I missing something?

Other sblim packages with testsuites have -test subpackage too (and it's not a small number), will you rename them to -testsuite stay consistent? What's the point?

But back to this bz, there's sblim-cmpi-base-1.6.0-2.fc14 in f14 testing repository. It seems that it fixed this broken dependency.

Comment 4 Praveen K Paladugu 2010-10-14 13:58:35 UTC
I made this change primarily to stay in consistent with the upstream packaging. Since the upstream packaging is imported directly into openSUSE, it is better for Fedora to follow the same packaging format.

Upstream packages also have a mix of "test" and "testsuite" packages. They have to be fixed as well. I will start a dialogue with the developers to get this fixed.

I added the required "obsolete" and "provides" tags to fix this issue. Can this BZ be closed now?

Praveen

Ideally, transitioning this bug to close should be automatically handled by the bodhi update system *providing* that this bug # was linked to an update.

This doesn't appear to have been done https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/sblim-cmpi-base-1.6.0-2.fc14

You can correct that by adding this bugzilla to that update (assuming I linked to the proper update). Once that is complete, this bug will be closed when the package has received sufficient karma and landed in 'stable'.

I re-ran my scripts and I no longer see the original failure when testing with your updated sblim packages. I will provide positive bodhi karma to help move it forward.
