What did you do when ristretto crashed? Are you able to reproduce the crash reliably? If so, how?

Well man, I just created an gif file with GIMP and tried to open this file with Ristretto!!

Actually my whole desktop is crashing with Fedora XFCE!


My I'm soldier and I wont give up!!

Thanks for the info. Does it crash every time you are trying to open this file? If so, can you attach the file to this bug?

You mean every time or only rarely? Can you reproduce the crash reliably?

Would be nice if you could provide more feedback because honestly I don't have a clue what you are trying to tell me.

Nevertheless I have forwarded your bug report to the developer at
http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6875

Feel free to subscribe to the upstream bug report because that's where all further investigation will take place. I will get back to you when I need more info and inform you once this issue is solved in Fedora.

According to upstream this is fixed in 0.0.93 in Fedora >= 15. Unfortunately I cannot bring this version to older Fedora releases as it requires libxfce4ui.
