The fact that rpcclient fails in the same way makes it look like a samba issue. Which Postscript driver are you using ? The Adobe Postscript driver or the Microsoft Postscript driver ? I am using the Microsoft Postscript driver An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
