Description of problem:

A very nice feature of VirtualBox is that below the console
of each guest is a set of icons which display disk, CD, network
and USB activity.  (See the attached image).

These icons flash green for reads and red for writes, so you
can see activity.

This is useful so you can see whether a VM is "doing something"
even when the screen isn't being updated.

But I prefer a small bargraph, like what is already implemented in the virt-manager window.
