Description Rich Mattes 2010-10-12 15:42:49 UTC
Description of problem:

I'm working on packaging a 3-D robotics simulator called Gazebo ( http://playerstage.sourceforge.net/index.php?src=gazebo ). Gazebo depends on bullet, but it requires bullet to be built with double precision enabled. Is there any way the Fedora package can be rebuilt with double precision enabled? It might break ABI with things already using bullet, so it should probably only be changed in F14+.

I will look at it.

Comment 2 Dan HorĂ¡k 2010-10-15 14:51:41 UTC
Rich, why do you think it needs bullet built with double precision? The comment in SearchForStuff.cmake makes me to think it's only needed when built with bullet provided by "rospack".

Unfortunately bullet has no mean to say the user how it was built (single/double) and what flags to use. Thus it's unlikely we can build bullet that will need extra supplied compile flags for correct function.

This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component.
