Cause:
NVidia driver doesn't support XRANDR gamma changes
Consequence:
Fade out doesn't work on Nvidia hardware
Fix:
improve gnome-screensaver xrandr gamma support detection code to fail on NVIDIA so xf86vm fallbacks are used
Result:
Fade works on nvida
