Description Michael J. Chudobiak 2010-11-04 16:03:31 UTC
Created attachment 457843 [details]
screenshot showing blank fields in properties dialog and document.

Description of problem: If I open an existing document and save it as a new open, edit it some, and save again, the File > Properties dialog reports the file-modified date as a blank, and the editing time as 00:00:00. I will attach a screenshot. As a result, any embedded fields that use the file-modified date are also coming out blank (see screenshot).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
openoffice.org-writer-3.3.0-9.3.fc14.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an odt file.
2. Save it as a new file.
3. Edit the file.
4. Save it again.
5. Check file-modified time reported in File>Properties. It is blank. It should report the time/date of the last save.

Turning off selinux does not help.

Indeed, they're not appearing in the meta.xml stream, so they don't exist on export for some reason.

Groan, privacy options changed, that's what's happening.

Toggle tools->options->openoffice.org->security->options->remove personal information on saving.

Comment 3 Michael J. Chudobiak 2010-11-05 12:24:42 UTC
Thank you for finding that! This was holding back my F14 upgrades.

It's odd that mtime is considered personal info. Is that upstream-bug-worthy? Or should the default privacy options change?

Ah, interesting, the wrong key is being looked up to determine this. And so its being incorrectly toggled off. The default is indeed *supposed* to be off.

Will be good in >= 3.3.0-13.4
