Description Egon A. Rath 2010-11-05 06:36:54 UTC
Description of problem:

The GNOME System Monitor Applet (multiload-applet-2) is not showing up in the list of available applets. All necessary packages are installed because the applet works when running a GNOME session on the same host.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

gnome-applets-2.32.0-1.fc14.x86_64

How reproducible:

1 Make a fresh installation of F14/X64 Live XFCE Spin.
2 Install the group "GNOME Desktop Environment".
3 Install xfce4-xfapplet-plugin
4 Add the xfapplet to the panel -> No System Monitor selectable

Actual results:

The GNOME System Monitor is not shown in the list of available GNOME Applets

Expected results:

Ability to add the GNOME System Monitor to the panel via xfapplet

Same problem here.

Comment 5 Christoph Wickert 2011-02-20 21:06:30 UTC
There is nothing I can do here, the plugin doesn't offer this functionality. I have filed a RFE in the Xfce bug tracker [1], but I doubt if it is has a high priority because with gnome-shell there is not much future for gnome-panel and it's applet's anyway. They will still be around for a while but not receive much maintenance and will be phased out sooner or later.
