Description Need Real Name 2010-11-08 07:24:29 UTC
Using the default live cd install of Fedora 14, I find that my headless server is using NetworkManager for ip config. Fine.

I run system-config-network-tui and choose Devices, only to find none listed.

What next?

What do 'ip a' and 'cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0' show ?

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 doesn't exist.

I've manually created that file now, and disabled NetworkManager so I cannot answer your other question.

However, eth0 was in use, and being managed by NetworkManager. ifconfig showed the device.
