Description spandey 2010-11-08 14:18:06 UTC
Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
100%

Prerequisites :
Rhel 6 alpha build RHEL6.0-20101103.0

Steps to repro :
execute command “subscription-manager-gui” in 5 different terminals at workspace 1

Expected Result :
If user tried to open another intance of sm gui at same workspace
than system should point to existing opened instance of sm-gui

System should not open multiple instances of SM-GUI in same workspace.

Actual Result :
At every attempt new sm-gui instance has been open in workspace 1

Agreed.. but I will not call this a blocker. I will push to the beta.

Comment 4 Justin Harris 2010-11-18 19:06:13 UTC

subscription-manager-gnome-0.93.2-1.git.91.7f89664.fc14.x86_64
subscription-manager-0.93.2-1.git.91.7f89664.fc14.x86_64

case 1:

I started two instances at the same time, second instance failed with:

[root@mgmt5 ~]# subscription-manager-gui

(subscription-manager-gui:9230): libglade-WARNING **: Unexpected element <property> inside <widget>.

(subscription-manager-gui:9230): libglade-WARNING **: unknown attribute `swapped' for <signal>.

ERROR:dbus.proxies:Introspect error on :1.2:/gui: dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
[root@mgmt5 ~]#

case 2:

I started first instance and waited until the gui displayed, then started second instance. Second instance failed cleanly:

[root@mgmt5 ~]# subscription-manager-gui

(subscription-manager-gui:9253): libglade-WARNING **: Unexpected element <property> inside <widget>.

(subscription-manager-gui:9253): libglade-WARNING **: unknown attribute `swapped' for <signal>.

[root@mgmt5 ~]#

Additional comments:

Second window did not open. Looks to be fixed.

moving to VERIFIED while J.C. Molet waits for bugzilla authority to verify.
