Description nomnex 2010-11-11 09:22:01 UTC
Description of problem:

Pyrenamer is one (if not the only one) of the best gui mass renaming software available on a GTK+ DE (Lxde, Gnome, etc.)

The last Pyrenamer package available is for Fedora 12. Pyrenamer is currently not available in the Fedora repository (unless to be wrong?*).

The last version available is F-12

    * pyrenamer-0.6.0.1-4.fc12.noarch 129kB

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Can I request a updated package for Fedora 14? Thank you.

----
* I can see 'pyrenamer-0.6.0.1-4.fc12.noarch' when I do a yum search pyrenamer, but it is probably because I have downloaded and installed the package pyrenamer for F12.rpm (working fine on F13/F14). If I recall correctly, before I installed the .rpm, yum install pyrenamer did not returned anything (forgive me if I am wrong, there's been some time, and I am not positive now).

This is a follow up to my pyrenamer update package for fedora 14, 15. what does mean: Assigned To: Orphan Owner ?

thanks

Comment 2 nomnex 2011-04-11 05:18:21 UTC
still no love? Forgive me to be insisting, but I don't know regex and pyrenamer is really a time saver for mass renaming. I can use the older packages just fine in Fedora 13/14, but a updated package available in the current F distribution would be welcome. Anyone?

PS: is there a GUI mass renaming replacement?

Comment 3 Gwyn Ciesla 2011-04-19 19:20:51 UTC
It was orphaned, and I didn't know that. It's been orphaned long enough that it will need re-reviewing, so I can't jsut take ownership. I'll do that against the new release.

Comment 4 Gwyn Ciesla 2011-04-19 19:29:35 UTC
I misunderstood, there's no new upstream. I'll still submit a review.

Comment 5 nomnex 2011-04-21 12:49:18 UTC
Thanks Jon. About the follow-up, will it be along this bug report?

Comment 6 Gwyn Ciesla 2011-04-21 13:04:36 UTC
I've already submitted the review, it's BZ 697976, which blocks this bug, so when the status of that bug changes, you'll be notified.

Comment 7 Fedora Admin XMLRPC Client 2011-05-05 19:54:37 UTC
This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component.

Thanks, pyrenamer is back in the F15 repo!
