We don't use their initscript. We initialize things ourselves in rc.sysinit. No chkconfig needed, no such script used. Checked /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit and do in fact find hotplug reference. Yet, hotplug not working on this machine. Install is stock 7.3 upgrade from 7.2, in turn from 6.0 on up. It's is known to work well in general. What doesn't work for you? Trond, It works. I had a bad entry in my /etc/modules.conf file. See Gordon Messmer's note back to me on the Red Hat list this afternoon. My bad. Sorry. John |
