This seems to happen when Sound is set to Local. When turning the sound to Off, the connection works fine. I attempt to connect to over rdp from within krdc 3. The connection is stored as a bookmark in krdc 4. Since the update, when I launch the bookmark, I briefly see the WinXP screen and then it closes again, with the message that rdesktop has crashed. 5. There is not enough time to click or do anything else in the Windows XP screen. I can confirm that turning the sound off avoids the crash. Comment ----- I am using the most recent version of "VMware View Open Client". Last tuesday it did work without any problems. Today it crashed after successful login on my customers VMware infrakstrukture. I guess that a code-update on the last two days caused the crash. When i successfully log in, i see my remote desktop for 1 secound. Then, the rdesktop application does crash. rdesktop-1.6.0-10.fc14 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 14. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/rdesktop-1.6.0-10.fc14 rdesktop-1.6.0-10.fc14 has been pushed to the Fedora 14 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. If you want to test the update, you can install it with su -c 'yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update rdesktop'. Login dialog box presented. 4. Login. 5. I see Windows XP desktop for less than one second and KRDC/rdesktop dies. Comment ----- I have connected to 3 different XP (SP3) systems with the same result. But, when I connect to a Windows 2003 Server, KRDC/rdesktop works correctly. Package: rdesktop-1.6.0-9.fc14 Architecture: i686 OS Release: Fedora release 14 (Laughlin) How to reproduce ----- 1. 2. 3.
