I use NVIDIA FX5200 512 Mb video RAM with Athlon XP 1,7 Gb , 1Gb RAM 
$ glxinfo | grep direct 
direct rendering: Yes
$ glxinfo | grep vendor
server glx vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
client glx vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
And 
$ uname -r 
2.6.35.6-48.fc14.i686.PAE
In F13 , blender 3D working well on this PC 



How to reproduce

1. start Blender 3D
2. create some objects 
3. try to save the .blend file

Seem Fedora distro is not agree with Blender 3D.
Another old bug but on F12:

Anyway if you have problems just donwnload it from official site.

F14 is EOL, please reproduce on a newer version
