Description David Le Sage 2010-12-10 01:24:48 UTC
Description of problem:
This is an extremely minor "quirky" issue. Normally, if the user just hovers his mouse over the clock, no pop-up menu appears. To access clock preferences, they must right-click on the clock for the menu to appear.

However, if the user clicks on the "Account Name" area (top right corner) and hovers his mouse over the menu items there (Account Information, System Preferences and so on) then moves the mouse over to the clock and hovers it there, the Preferences pop-up menu appears of its own accord with no need to right-click.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-shell 2.31.5-7.fc14 (64 bit)

How reproducible:
Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Hover mouse over desktop clock. Nothing happens.
2. Click on username (top right of screen) and run mouse down menu that appears without clicking on anything.
3. Go and hover mouse over desktop clock again.

Actual results:
Preferences menu pops-up.

Expected results:
Menu should only pop-up if you right-click on desktop clock.

The patches in upstream bug 634755 fix this.
