How to reproduce
-----
Since Nautilus crashed not in direct response to anything I did, let me describe the circumstances of the crash.

I had a USB drive with an NTFS partition plugged in and mounted. The DeaDBeeF (v.0.4.4, installed from an RPM made for Fedora 14) audio player had been playing some flac files located on that disk. All the other processes in a few windows open at that time were basically idle (I had a galeon browser, a downloader, and 2 gnome-terminal windows open).

At some point during the playback the playback stopped and I was greeted with an ABRT pop-up saying that Nautilus crashed.

Before filing this report, I replayed the same tracks with totem, and at some point I the playback stopped like it did with DeaDBeeF player, Nautilus crashed again, and the pop-up window appeared:

"An error occurred

Could not read from resource"

To check whether the FLAC file that was played when the second consective Nautilus crash occurred, was defective, I replayed it again in totem. No errors/crashes this time.

When I however, began touching and moving the USB cable connecting the external disk with the USB jack on my laptop, the playback stopped as it happened on two previous occasions, and the same po-up window

"An error occurred

Could not read from resource"

appeared. This time, however, Nautilus did not crash.

Could not read from resource"

Comment

If the crashes were indeed caused by a loose USB cable, I would like the file manager to handle this more gracefully -- not to crash.

Nautilus, in my experience, rarely crashes and the described two instances were the first time i observed it crashing during playback of an audio file on an external USB drive.

How to reproduce
-----
1. I had just shut down MusicBrainz Picard (which had crashed about an hour before)
2. Unmounted my usb mp3 player using the Gnome panel applet Disk Mounter.
3. Just as I unmounted, many of my nautilus windows disappeared than re-appeared. I noticed the bug-alert.

Comment
-----
I might not have reported this first incident of a nautilus crash, however, this is the third application to crash tonight (1st: easytag; 2nd (two hours later) picard; 3rd (~one hour later) nautilus. I am never sure if this sort of report is of any use, I appologize in advance if this is of no help.

How to reproduce
-----
1. I connected my Android phone via USB, this resulted in two "drives" being mounted
2. I right-clicked on one of the mounts on my desktop, and selected "safely remove drive" or similar
3. Nautilus then crashed, but after the two were unmounted.

I mounted my phone as a USB mass storage drive and copied several albums worth of music to it by dragging and dropping folders. When finished, I pressed the "eject" icon next to the drive name, and Nautilus crashed.
