Description John Halfpenny 2010-12-16 11:28:57 UTC
Description of problem:

Using virtman with a 2-node cluster with shared storage allows the same image to be launched on multiple hosts. I would like to eliminate this possibility by only presenting active machines on the virtman GUI. I have been asked to submit this report from the virt-manager mailing list.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

0.8.2

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch virtman
2. Run image on host 1
3. Run image on host 2

Actual results:

Eventually corrupt VM image.

Expected results:

Ditto.

Honestly, thinking about this again, I don't really want to add this option. This is the only request we've had for it in 3 years. It's a valid request, but TBH I don't think it's worth the maintenance. Your setup is not typical so I don't think we should design the UI to particularly handle it.
