Milos, please test it with the latest RHEL6 selinux-policy and also with the latest upstart. This should be fixed there. Description of problem: Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHEL6-Server-6.0 selinux-policy-3.7.19-54.el6.noarch selinux-policy-targeted-3.7.19-54.el6.noarch How reproducible: almost always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install a RHEL-6.0 machine 2. boot into single mode 3. run reboot and you will shortly see following AVC Actual results: type=1400 audit(1292589209.957:73989): avc: denied { read } for pid=9611 comm="shutdown" path="pipe:[32156]" dev=pipefs ino=32156 scontext=system_u:system_r:shutdown_t:s0 tcontext=system_u:system_r:init_t:s0 tclass=fifo_file Expected results: no AVCs
