Description of Problem:kernel panic no init

How Reproducible:happened on 2 reinstalls

1.fails after a few restarts

Additional Information:I used the rescue function and compiled
2.4.18 patch pre10, no other changes, system rebooted NO problem.
System is a PIII 550 gateway w/scsi.
