FYI the bug does *not* appear on my Apple-derived version of X windows, $ X -version X.org Release 7.5 X.Org X Server 1.7.6 Build Date: 20100329 This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Because the affected component is not scheduled to be updated in the current release, Red Hat is unfortunately unable to address this request at this time. Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. If you would like it considered as an exception in the current release, please ask your support representative. This request was erroneously denied for the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The error has been fixed and this request has been re-proposed for the current release. BTW, I tried the "bleeding edge" X installation on Ubuntu 10.04, c/o https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa, and the issue still pertains there. This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Simple fix, patch has been merged upstream and in fedora. Since RHEL 6.1 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as exception or blocker. Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed products. This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update release. MODIFIED xorg-x11-server-1.10.4-3.el6 is available in brew Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
