Thanks for the report. I can reproduce this here with the same backtrace under KDE. Could not see any relevant bug reports upstream. -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers So far I could not reproduce the problem on a 32bit system. Just to narrow down the issue, please can you try the following: - start banshee in a GNOME session - disable the "Notification Area Icon" extension: Edit -> Preferences -> Extensions: Utilities / Notification Area Icon and let me know whether it helped? Yup, disabling the Notification Area Icon worked. I have tracked down the issue and I have reported my findings upstream: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=638477 I will provide a new package with this fix for F14 within the next days. banshee-1.8.0-10.fc14.1 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 14. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/banshee-1.8.0-10.fc14.1 banshee-1.8.0-10.fc14.1 has been pushed to the Fedora 14 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. If you want to test the update, you can install it with su -c 'yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update banshee'.
