I don't know if this is the same memory leak, but my squid server runs out of ram short after enabling delay pools for some dst domains. I upgraded by hand to 3.1.10 and everithing is fine now. Squid 3.1.4 has severe memory leaks. An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
