local configuration file

Hi Gabriel,

it seems to me that this is a duplicate of the bug #591634. Could you place the attached file to your home directory and try it again?
Alternatively (to be system-wide), you can add file named local.conf to your /etc/fonts/ directory with this content:

<alias binding="same">
  <family>ZapfDingbats</family>
  <accept><family>Dingbats</family></accept>
</alias>

Marek

Hi Marek and thanks for the quick answer.

Didn't had the time to check bug #591634 but both the global and local configs, tested one at a time of course, work perfectly in F14. NOT in EL5 however, and I'll try to recover a vm where I had EL6 to test as well. Should I open a new bug for EL5 (and EL6 if applicable) as well once I mentioned it here ?

I'll stick with your current fix until fontconfig catches up. Thank you very much.

Hi Gabriel,

I see that this bug has been fixed in EL6 (by me, but I'm not maintainer of fontconfig in Fedora, so I can not fix it in Fedora).
The problem with EL5 is that form support was introduced in poppler 0.6.0 and evince 0.9.2 (there are poppler 0.5.4 and evince 0.6.0 in EL5). That is why you cannot work with forms in EL5.
I'm closing this as a duplicate of #591634.

Regards

Marek
