Description of problem:
On a Dell PowerEdge 4600, Dual Xeon 2.2Ghz (hyper threading auto detected and
ON), 4GB ram, the program "xosview" when executed consumes 99% cpu on one
processor, but never displays the program window.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.In a X windows environment on a Dell PowerEdge 4600 (or via ssh) run the
program xosview.

Actual Results:  xosview consumes 99% of one cpu, but doesn't display any
information.

Expected Results:  xosview launches, displaying the GUI window.

Running on a non-SMP kernel (single CPU, no hyperthreading xosview runs fine on
the same machine.  With the SMP kernel, and hyper threading, the two physical
CPUs show up as 4 total CPUs, maybe not compatible with xosview..?

it's fixed in xosview-1.8.0-3. You find it in the rawhide
