I did some poking around. It looks like a large weight > 10,000,000 on an edge may cause this issue. Changing the generator for the dot files to use smaller weights resolved the issue. 

The dot file used for this can't be released because it is based on an instruction count analysis of proprietary code. I can probably fake one out if needed.

How to reproduce

1. Ran dot on a dot-file which has a large weight attached to an edge.
2. Crash
