Guake crashing in motion none

Description Brandon 2011-01-14 15:31:48 UTC
Description of problem:
When I use SU in Guake to update my system from command line, I wait for the update to finish and then I type "exit" to exit the root session. Then, I use CTRL+W to close the tab that the session is in. ABRT appears telling me that a crash had happened.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
0.4.2

How reproducible:
Only when the system has been powered off and then turned on and it never happens until the computer is used again.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update the system in Guake
2. Exit root session using "exit"
3. CTRL+W to close the same tab

Actual results:
ABRT prompts with a supposed crash in Guake

Expected results:
Not to have that prompt appear

Do you have the backtrace in ABRT ?

Otherwise I believe this is a bug in ABRT not in Guake :-)

Comment 2 Brandon 2011-01-18 16:03:10 UTC
It happened again and I captured the backtrace:

guake.py:1189:delete_shell:OSError: [Errno 3] No such process

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib64/guake/guake.py", line 1189, in delete_shell
    os.kill(pid, signal.SIGTERM)
OSError: [Errno 3] No such process

Local variables in innermost frame:
self: Guake(path="/usr/share/guake/guake.glade")
pid: 2591

Hope this helps :)

Comment 3 Brandon 2011-02-13 14:31:08 UTC
So any updates with this?

Comment 4 Pierre-YvesChibon 2011-02-13 14:38:48 UTC
not from my side. I'll try to get upstream looking into it. You can still reproduce the bug ?

Comment 5 Brandon 2011-02-13 14:45:24 UTC
Yes I can. It always happens. I made a video of it happening. I added it as an attachment.

Comment 7 Pierre-YvesChibon 2011-10-13 09:37:20 UTC
This was reported against F14, can you still reproduce it on F15 ? (that is, if you updated :))

Comment 8 Brandon 2011-10-13 11:49:34 UTC
I no longer use Fedora. (I use Trisquel). So I can not reproduce this. I might be able to using a LiveCD.

Comment 9 Pierre-YvesChibon 2012-01-11 10:29:07 UTC
I am closing this bug, but please do re-open it if you can reproduce the bug!

Thanks for reporting it.
