This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle. Changing version to '19'. (As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.) More information and reason for this action is here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping/Fedora19 This bug was filed against an older version of Fedora, which is not longer supported. Closing as INSUFFUCIENT_DATA -- please reopen this bug if this is still occuring on a non EOLed version of Fedora. |
Created attachment 473714 [details] emacs showing cursor trail/wake artifacts Description of problem: when using gnome-shell emacs cursor doesn't show correctly, leaving a trail of rectangles in it's wake. See attached render. Incidentally capturing using the regular "PrintScreen" button doesn't work (it gives some hint to the emacs window to repaint), but scrot with delay captures it correctly (if you change focus it also repaints correctly). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open emacs. 2. move cursor with right and left keys on a line. 3. moving to a different line clears some but not all of the artifacts. Actual results: dirty black half cursors overlay the text where the cursor has passed. Expected results: only the cursor position should have a cursor. Additional info: doesn't happen with metacity. no need to close/reopen emacs - just changing window manager with metacity --replace results in correct rendering of emacs, and changing back with gnome-shell --replace returns to the bug's description.
