bnx2-mips-09-6.0.17.fw is in the 2.6.37 linux kernel source tree but not in the linux-firmware package.

Comment 2 Narendra K 2011-01-18 11:40:06 UTC
This issue will impact the 'Network Device Naming' test day scheduled to be held on 27th of this month - https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-qa/ticket/159. The bnx2 devices (BCM5709) will not be recognized and we will not be able to test the proposed naming scheme.

Comment 3 Chuck Ebbert 2011-01-18 13:53:46 UTC
2.6.38, which is what we expect to have in f15 shortly, has a newer firmware version: bnx2-mips-09-6.2.1.fw

Comment 4 Narendra K 2011-01-19 10:49:35 UTC
I think we need this fix in Rawhide in time(By 24th Monday) for the test day on 27th (Thursday). If not, then it might not be possible to go ahead with the test day as network devices driven by bnx2 driver will not even get recognized.

Firmware in place, closing as currentrelease
