Since system mail can read this, I guess logwatch_mail should be allowed also. Fixed in selinux-policy-3.9.12-8.fc15 |
SELinux is preventing /usr/sbin/sendmail.sendmail from 'read' accesses on the chr_file random. ***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests *************************** If you believe that sendmail.sendmail should be allowed read access on the random chr_file by default. Then you should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Do allow this access for now by executing: # grep sendmail /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp Additional Information: Source Context system_u:system_r:logwatch_mail_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 Target Context system_u:object_r:random_device_t:s0 Target Objects random [ chr_file ] Source sendmail Source Path /usr/sbin/sendmail.sendmail Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages sendmail-8.14.4-17.fc15 Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.9.12-2.fc15 Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Host Name (removed) Platform Linux (removed) 2.6.37-0.rc7.git0.2.fc15.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Dec 22 17:12:22 UTC 2010 x86_64 x86_64 Alert Count 3 First Seen Fri 24 Dec 2010 05:15:13 PM CLST Last Seen Sun 26 Dec 2010 03:45:08 AM CLST Local ID 35c2e199-071a-400a-996c-4a97045faf74 Raw Audit Messages type=AVC msg=audit(1293345908.207:1829): avc: denied { read } for pid=20198 comm="sendmail" name="random" dev=devtmpfs ino=5312 scontext=system_u:system_r:logwatch_mail_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tcontext=system_u:object_r:random_device_t:s0 tclass=chr_file type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1293345908.207:1829): arch=x86_64 syscall=open success=no exit=EACCES a0=7f944fc7f6b7 a1=900 a2=d a3=7fff77c9c980 items=0 ppid=19938 pid=20198 auid=0 uid=51 gid=51 euid=51 suid=51 fsuid=51 egid=51 sgid=51 fsgid=51 tty=(none) ses=281 comm=sendmail exe=/usr/sbin/sendmail.sendmail subj=system_u:system_r:logwatch_mail_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 key=(null) Hash: sendmail,logwatch_mail_t,random_device_t,chr_file,read audit2allow #============= logwatch_mail_t ============== allow logwatch_mail_t random_device_t:chr_file read; audit2allow -R #============= logwatch_mail_t ============== allow logwatch_mail_t random_device_t:chr_file read;
