Description Richard W.M. Jones 2011-01-17 18:29:29 UTC
Description of problem:

Upstream virt-what has support for Microsoft Hyper-V:
http://git.annexia.org/?p=virt-what.git;a=commitdiff;h=ee4ad55ae2b9294d03e45a364c70c42f945d2fc7
Backport this into virt-what in RHEL 6.1.

*NB* This is completely untested and simply based on a
description of Hyper-V from MSDN. QA will need to find
a Hyper-V virtual machine to test this on.

Comment 4 Richard W.M. Jones 2011-01-26 23:48:20 UTC
Confirmed that this works on a real Hyper-V system.

However we also need the following upstream patch:
http://git.annexia.org/?p=virt-what.git;a=commitdiff;h=0e90af4014da8065a4062319921288baf972c6fb

Thus setting the bug back to ASSIGNED state.

Comment 7 Jinxin Zheng 2011-02-18 10:35:19 UTC
We have verified that virt-what identifies hyper-V guests correctly:

# virt-what
hyperv
