Description RHEL Program Management 2011-01-18 08:10:41 UTC
This bug has been copied from bug #665293 and has been proposed
to be backported to 6.0 z-stream (EUS).

Comment 4 Jiri Denemark 2011-01-25 12:20:36 UTC
This is a FutureFeature and as such it is not suitable for Z-stream. The feature will only be included in RHEL-6.1.

Comment 5 Michael S. Tsirkin 2011-01-25 12:26:56 UTC
It's a feature but it enables a work-around for qemu bug which we can't enable
otherwise.

Comment 6 Dave Allan 2011-01-25 20:26:37 UTC
I don't think we can reject this BZ for z-stream without further discussion of the issues. It appears to me that this is a workaround for a significant problem. If it's possible to fix the underlying problem, we should do so, but if the only option is for libvirt to provide a workaround, then it is appropriate for z-stream. MST, can you provide a high-level summary of the problem and why you think working around it in libvirt is our best option?
