1. What does 'exo-preferred-applications' show as your web browser? 2. do you have a 'gnome-settings-daemon' running? If you kill that does it start behaving correctly? 1. Mozilla Firefox. If I run "exo-open --launch WebBrowser" in a Terminal it complains "Error: No running window found" and launches Firefox (the complaint also shows up in ~/.xsession-errors) 2. "pgrep gnome-settings" returns nothing Does this persist with xfdesktop-4.8.1? I do see the "Error: No running window found" here, but then the icon in the panel works fine... xfdesktop-4.8.0-1.fc15.x86_64, exo-0.6.0-1.fc15.x86_64 now. The icon works. "exo-open --launch WebBrowser" in a Terminal also works, no error messages/warnings. [Was out for vacation, and also used Gnome in the meantime.] Cool. So shall we close this now? |
