Description of problem:
This is a persistent problem, but we are still having reports from users that machines without hostnames fail to start up condor properly.  I have not looked at it closely, but Joe Dunn (CC'ed) has run into this problem on his machines.

IMO we should fix this with documentation.  We need the host machine properly configured for things to work right.

This was a configuration issue, and this is against the Aeolus component (not cloud engine).  I'm going to close this out, we can re-open under cloud engine if we think this is still a problem.
