Description Steven Haigh 2011-01-20 21:46:20 UTC
Description of problem:
Asterisk packages supplied with F14 are very out of date. This means they currently lack security fixes and more. As of this writing, asterisk-1.6.2.17-rc1 is currently released.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
asterisk-1.6.2.12-0.1.rc1.fc14

I hereby request that asterisk be updated to asterisk-1.6.2.17-rc1

Comment 1 Jeffrey C. Ollie 2011-01-21 04:45:22 UTC
I won't update to a release candidate, but I've started working on updating to the latest released version.

Comment 2 Steven Haigh 2011-01-21 06:34:08 UTC
That works well. My main concern at the moment is that there are many outstanding security advisories that are not covered with the currently available version.
