Description Vivian Bian 2011-01-25 06:08:12 UTC
Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
libvirt-0.8.7-3.el6.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.# virsh list --all
 Id Name State
----------------------------------
  - demo-test shut off
  - pxe shut off
  - win2k3-32-virtio shut off

2.# virsh managedsave pxe
error: Failed to save domain pxe state
error: cannot resolve symlink /var/lib/libvirt/qemu/save/pxe.save: No such file or directory

Expected results:
# virsh managedsave pxe
error: Failed to save domain pxe state
error: Requested operation is not valid: domain is not running

Additional info:

Comment 2 Vivian Bian 2011-01-25 06:27:35 UTC
tried it with libvirt-0.8.1-27.el6 which is the final version of RHEL6.0.
get the following result:
# virsh managedsave rhel6
error: Failed to save domain rhel6 state
error: Requested operation is not valid: domain is not running

but get the different result with libvirt-0.8.7-3.el6,
# virsh managedsave rhel6
error: Failed to save domain rhel6 state
error: cannot resolve symlink /var/lib/libvirt/qemu/save/rhel6.save: No such file or directory

So set the keywords Regression .
