This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '14' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were unable to fix it before Fedora 14 reached end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping |
Created attachment 477130 [details] create partition initial state Description of problem: A 750 GB disk has 2.4MiB of free sectors at the end (gparted). g-d-u is showing this incorrectly as 18 446 744 TB (-256,636,929,024 bytes). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnome-disk-utility-2.32.0-1.fc14.x86_64 How reproducible: Yes, with this current disk. Steps to Reproduce: 1. g-d-u 2. drive 750G sdc 3. volumes: click right-most partition (free space). 4. Create Partition. 5. move the slider down to smallest step 6. check date Actual results: 3. Both the graphic and the detail below show this space incorrectly as: 18 446 744 TB (-256,636,929,024 bytes). 4. slider control - text value shows: 18446743817.073 GB 5. 1000000000.000 GB [1000000 TB] is the first step. 6. it isn't April 1st. Expected results: 3, 4, 5: 2.4MB free 6: April 1st. Additional info: Assuming the above are the same symptoms with the same cause. Perhaps: there needs to be an assertion (disk size is positive) and (disk size is smaller than disk sizes possible in the expected life of g-d-u. Since I am doing partitioning changes this week, if my test case is useful, please state so as soon as possible !
