Description of problem:
gnome-shell can not be started

Actual results:
the gnome-shell can not be used

Btw. the metacity fallback does not work so I end up without working WM. And I wonder why gnome-shell is started by default even when gnome registry contains metacity WM. Do you want to force gnome-shell to everybody?

Assume this was some transient problem with mutter and gtk being out of sync. There's been a lot of work on gnome-session handling of failure recently.
