Seems like there are some fixes regarding this problem in 4.8.1 will try that and make an update here.. No luck with 4.8.1 the behavior is same as with 4.8.0. With the latest update (4.8.3-1) works a bit better - if I choose output: Automatic, it's on external monitor when it's connected and on laptop monitor when it's not connected. But if I choose Monitor 2 (external) it stays there even when xfce is started without the external monitor. Updated upstream bug with your testing from comment 10. Thanks! Changing version to '19'. (As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development cycle bugs. We are very sorry.
