Description of problem:
I use minicom to connect with some network devices (mostly switches) through serial port, but after the update that was published some days ago I cant use minicom for that purpose. I have tried with native serial to serial connection, also with USB to serial converter and the output is the same. I'm sure with the baud rate, turned off the hardware and software flow control, but the problem stays the same - I cant make any input from the keyboard, but I can see the startup messages from the device in my minicom. I have tried the same thing with Putty and when I'm using serial to serial cable I cant make it work, but with the USB converter is working.

How reproducible:


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect the device, login as root, start minicom.
2. Set the baud rate, the serial device (in my case /dev/ttyS0 and /dev/ttyUSB0)
3. Connect
  
Actual results:
No keyboard input possible

Additional info:
I'm using fully updated Fedora 14.

Thank you for the bug report. I am not able to reproduce this behaviour directly but there can be a connection with patch 'Handle device reconnects more smoothly' in upstream HG.

Could you try install this test build, please?

Thank you for your reply. I have tried the test build and its the same. But I have manage to get it work with USB converter, so now I suspect faulty Serial port controller. I have also tried a live CD Fedora 14 and its the same (even that is not actually a test as the version of minicom on the live cd is the same as that on my PC, but that at least ruled out buggy library, dependency or misconfiguration). I will try with another machine with Fedora 14 asap and will reply here.

Sorry for the delay. 

No, I cant reproduce the issue for some time. Everything is working fine now.
