Window image leaking betwen multiple windows

Description of problem:

This is a bit one hard to explain..

Basically maximize one window then put the mouse pointer over "Activites" and you enter the "Windows" mode all "Windows" share the same image as opposed to what the application is showing anyway picture says more than an thousand words..

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

gnome-shell-2.91.6-5.fc15.x86_64
xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-0.0.16-18.20110117git38e8809.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible:

More or less always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open up for different applications ( maximize )
2. Move mouse over to "Activites"
3.

Actual results:

See screen shot

Expected results:

Windows showing content of application.

Additional info:

Was fixed recently in Clutter upstream.

Comment 2 Jóhann B. Guðmundsson 2011-02-15 21:43:12 UTC
Hum I'll mention the three other cases that I've come across and you can make note if that is fixed upstream or not and will then file a proper bug report for those that are not..

Has it been fixed when in "Windows" moving mouse between application windows the image on the application flickering between it self and another application window?

When for instance you are in Windows mode and you have one or more application open and when you start another one it seems to bring forth from the background the last fully open application and then starts the other on top on that which cause Gnome to literally crash on occasions and starts GDM btw this is extremely annoying usage behaviour and it would be better that the application being started would simply be started maximized...

And the last Display error to report that I've come across and happens to me on a rare occasion I think is triggered when playing video totem/vlc in fullscreen and then minimize ( possible can be trigger by pressing F key several while in totem/vlc ) or switching between window the and other windows which results in the underlying background to become scrambled

It looks like this issue was fixed in clutter 1.6.4 which is now in f-15 testing. Can you confirm the problem is fixed.

Comment 4 Jóhann B. Guðmundsson 2011-02-17 22:45:28 UTC
Confirmed fixed both the windows showing same image and the image changing on one windows when the mouse was moved over it which I mentioned in comment 2.

I filed a bug for the window behaviour which I mentioned in comment 2 and Oven explained to me that it had been designed that way.

That only leaves the "Display Error" I mentioned which is probably nouveau bug and I will file against nouveau driver when I manage to take a snapshot of it.
