Filed this bug in addition to bug #677810
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=677810
which has been reassigned to xorg-x11-drv-nouveau
(also crash during Rawhide LiveCD startup)

tested with desktop-i386-20110223.05.iso (nightly build dated 23-Feb-2011)

I again see crash in mutter (as reported above)

It's a pity, as I wanted to participate in Radeon Test Day https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2011-02-23_Radeon
and provide additional feedback on Radeon driver.

Therefor problem with crush in mutter is specific to GNOME (Desktop-* image)

Comment 11 v.plessky 2011-02-27 10:56:52 UTC
Bug has been fixed in desktop-i386-20110227.01.iso (Feb.27, 2011) image.
GNOME is starting (MSI S271 noteboo, ATI graphics).

It looks somewhat strange- with grey background under menu bar, and black bar further on top of the screen.
But no crash.
